Our bocce court runs down the hallway near the theatre – the only stretch of space that’s long enough to accommodate the game! It looks like all the regular practice payed off in a big way this year! Players were joined by our ever-faithful following of cheerleaders to make the competition one of the best ever! Our Bocce court was laid out in the dining room and despite, or in spite, of the fact that the floor is more level than the usual playing area, the players adapted to the surface, and rose to the occasion of playing better than ever. Athletes and tenants were joined at the medal ceremony by Linda from Osteoporosis Canada, who brought greetings and a short presentation before assisting with the bestowing of the medals on the Bocce winners. One player kept her glasses on for the first rounds of play but decided to take them off for the finals. Amazingly—she did better without the glasses, which she wears all the time!
