Residents, guests and staff at Cité Parkway on Sunday were treated to an afternoon of laughter, camaraderie and wonderful memories as former Leafs Captain and Hall of Famer Doug Gilmour shares stories of his life as an NHL star. Joining us for this experience were families, friends and old time hockey fans wanting a photo with Gilmour and helping raise awareness and over $3,700 for the Montfort Hospital Foundation’s “For You, Sweet Heart” fundraising campaign to purchase a CT scanner with specialized Cardiac Module. Doug was very generous with his time as he visited with everyone in attendance, signed autographs and posed for pictures.

This was the 9th planned event where All Seniors Care Living Centres has hosted NHL alumni, including included Wendel Clark, Laurie Boschman, Lanny McDonald, Darryl Sittler and Curtis Joseph at our retirement communities in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Stratford and Ottawa.
