CANADA — The final day of the 17th Annual ASC Seniors Games brought competition, connection, and courageous moments — a weeklong journey that reminded everyone that heart, home, and determination are at the core of every victory. Today’s events shifted from physical skill to mental sharpness as athletes tackled Bingo and Jeopardy before VIP guests awarded the National Medals during the closing ceremonies.
At Preston Park II in Saskatoon, Pétanque champion Leonard H., 92, proved that experience matters. An ASC Senior Games veteran, Leonard captured both his local title and the National Gold Medal in Pétanque, earning applause across the country.
Milestones were front and centre at Ottawa’s Chapel Hill, where longtime competitors Edith E., 88, and David E., 90, marked ten years of participation in the ASC Seniors Games. The celebration continued as Reginald A., 84, captured the National Medal in Ladder Golf, returning Chapel Hill to the national podium for the first time since 2019.
From first-time podium finishes to national triumphs, the closing ceremonies wrapped up a week defined by heart, home, and healthy competition. As this year’s ASC Seniors Games came to a close one thing was clear — there is no place like our home!
