The 2018 All Seniors Care Seniors Games closed across the country today, as Poker, Cribbage, Skip Bo, Trivia and many more games were contested at retirement communities across the country. From start to finish, the Games have been a resounding success as witnessed in Winnipeg, Manitoba at River Ridge I where Gold Medalist (Wii Bowling) and Bronze National Medalist (Wii Bowling), Al G. stated: “I can’t believe that I’ve accomplished this much at this time in my life! I hope my kids are proud!” Or at Residences de la Gappe in Gatineau, QC from the words our Chef de Mission’s speech, which summed up to the 2018 Seniors Games beautifully:
“We should not stop laughing because we are getting older, because we get older when we stop laughing. Laughing like a cure, it relaxes and relaxes. Laughter demonstrates that you are a positive person and positive people attract people with a contagious good humor that causes laughter to reap cheerfulness. It’s much easier to approach someone who always has a smile.”
